Our Mission

2 dollars

It’s hard to picture living on $2 a day. Most of us spend more than that on the simplest day to day items, a pack of gum, a cup of coffee, an app for your phone.

New York

Nicaragua is the size of New York and is the poorest country in Central America. It has a population of 5.7 million people, at which 80% lives on less than $2 a day. Thats right! $2 a day! Could you imagine?!

Statistics

53% of Nicaragua is under the age of 18 years old. More than half the families have between 5 to 7 members in a household. These are kids raising kids! 1 out of 22 children dies before the age of five.

Most of us have never really known what its like to be hungry, let alone, not eat for a day. We have within blocks from us, places to eat or get food. Yet there are millions of people in Nicaragua that don’t have this privilege.

Statistics

Over 30% of Nicaragua cannot read or write due to the fact that 1 out of 2 children drop out of school before completing the fifth grade.

Here, we’d like to help those millions. They are very real, and very much in need. They didn’t choose to be born in the poorest country in Central America. And we didn't choose to be born in a country where even the homeless have access to a meal and recourses.

We invite you to be a source of hope to millions in need. Your time and energy would be of great help, although at times not feasible. A simple meal or clothing can make a difference in a child's life. With your financial support we know how to make this happen.
